Leadership
This workshop is normally run over two days and can be held in-house if required. For the more adventurous this two day event can be held at an outdoor location where several outdoor Leadership challenges await! The aim of this workshop is to allow delegates the opportunity to experiment with different styles of Leadership and gain an insight into their own preferred Leadership style. The skills of Leadership are taught through a mixture of practical Leadership exercises combined with Leadership models/theory.
Coaching
Coaching should be an important activity for any manager. This workshop running over two days is designed to provide managers with the skills and confidence to develop and motivate their teams through the skills of Coaching. Delegates will discover the difference between Coaching and Mentoring, Listening and feedback techniques, models of Coaching and have practical experience using their new found Coaching skills by taking turns in being a Coach and a Coachee using real issues as a basis for the coaching session.
High Performing Teams
One of the most crucial skills for a Manager to have is the ability to develop their team to be the best they can be. This two day workshop will provide delegates with some practical tools and techniques to identify team skills and behaviours, identify current levels of performance and move them towards High Performance. How to create a motivational Vision for the team and set individual and team goals. This workshop contains many practical skills that can be applied immediately back in the workplace through a number of fun and enlightening exercises!
Recruitment
Ensuring that the right skills are in the right place at the right time is a challenge for any manager. Make a poor recruitment decision and the ramifications are huge for the team and business in terms of morale, cost, additional management time, company reputation …..not to mention possible disciplinary and legal issues! This two day workshop will provide delegates with skills to deal with recruitment activities in a timely and cost effective manner, ensuring that the organisation obtains and retains the best calibre staff for business success.
Performance Management
A one day workshop designed to give delegates the skills and confidence to carry out an effective performance review. Areas covered include: Organisational strategy leading to personal objective setting, Motivation theory, having the difficult conversation, feedback frameworks, preparation for the review, personal development planning and understanding learning styles.
Managing Change
In an ever changing complex world Managers have to adapt, support and lead their teams through effective business change to remain ahead of the game. This can be daunting as everyone reacts differently to the pace of change. One persons exciting challenge can be someone elses Nightmare! This one day workshop will provide delegates with the opportunity to recognise and cope with change and gain an understanding of the skills/behaviours required to manage and lead change within the business.
Finance for Non-Financial Managers
A one or two day workshop, depending upon level of need, is designed for delegates of all disciplines who may have some previous financial experience and wish to improve their knowledge and add to their financial skills. At the end of the workshop delegates will have a solid understanding of how they can improve the financial performance of their businesses.
Personal Effectiveness
This one day workshop is much more than just learning effective time management techniques. In addition delegates will examine their own behavioural drivers, develop a “positive attitude” mindset, gain an understanding of how to recognise behavioural styles in others, learn assertiveness and negotiation techniques and how to facilitate a “win/win” situation.
Presentation Skills
Most people suffer anxiety about giving a presentation and would rather go to the dentist instead! This one day workshop will give delegates the opportunity to learn some simple but effective techniques to give confidence and deliver their presentation with interest and style. Due to the high level of individual attention required on this workshop the maximum number of delegates is six and ideally only four.
Advanced Presentation Skills
The Advanced Presentation Skills workshop can run either as a one or two day workshop depending upon identified need. It is aimed at those who have some experience of presenting to small or large groups but may not have received any formal training. A full range of tips and techniques will be introduced for confident and effective delivery. This will include defining the purpose of the presentation, connecting with your audience, body language, nerves and habits, use of Powerpoint as an aid rather than the main thrust of the presentation! For maximum benefit delegate presentations will be videoed and reviewed during the workshop.
Time Management
As time is a precious commodity the Time Management workshop can be run as a half day or full day workshop as required. Delegates will examine the barriers to effective time management and identify ways to change current poor time management habits. A wide variety of time management issues will be covered ranging from identifying time stealers, diary management, effectiveness Vs efficiency, through to delegation and forward planning.
Facilitation Skills
The majority of meetings are poorly run and unproductive, wasting valuable management time and ultimately costing the organisation a great deal of money in manpower costs. A good facilitator can improve meeting effectiveness and by focusing on outcomes can add value to the business. This half day workshop provides practical tools and techniques in facilitation which will allow delegates to get the maximum from future meetings on return to work by knowing how to stimulate group creativity, use recording methods to capture key issues and allocate responsibility to turn intent into Actions!
Introduction to Management
Most first time managers are promoted into the position due to technical competence and then find they have staff responsibility without having the management skills or training. This two day workshop is therefore an essential aid for anyone identified for a future Management role! The workshop provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities a Manager has to undertake to ensure effective performance within the organisation. As well as delving into management styles, team motivation, performance and process management, delegates will also be introduced to wider management considerations such as commercial awareness and strategy through Mission, Vision and Values.
